Anita Jahanban is an associate in the Condominium & Common Interest Community Association and Local Government Law practices. She advises homeowner association clients on their rights and obligations under applicable statutes, interpreting and applying their governing documents and litigating association matters.
Anita also concentrates her practice on the representation of school districts, park districts, and library districts. She provides general counseling and litigation services to her clients on a wide range of issues, including matters involving contract disputes, employment disputes, tort liability defenses, board policies, and local elections.
Prior to joining Tressler, Anita was a litigation associate for the The Hunt Law Group, LLC and Stellato & Schwartz. While in law school, Anita served as a law clerk for Tressler and the City of Chicago’s Law Department in the Employment Litigation Division.
While attending the University of Illinois College of Law, Anita was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Immigration Law and CALI Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation. Anita also received honors in Legal Writing and Introduction to Advocacy, and was the development editor for the University of Illinois Law Review and the student editor for the Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal.
