Jahanban, Anita Associate

Practice Focus

Anita Jahanban is an associate in the Condominium & Common Interest Community Association and Local Government Law practices. She advises homeowner association clients on their rights and obligations under applicable statutes, interpreting and applying their governing documents and litigating association matters.

Anita also concentrates her practice on the representation of school districts, park districts, and library districts.  She provides general counseling and litigation services to her clients on a wide range of issues, including matters involving contract disputes, tort liability defenses, board policies, local elections, the Open Meetings Act (OMA) and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Anita also has experience counseling clients on employment and labor disputes, including hiring, discipline, discharge, discrimination, and wage and hour. Anita also has assisted clients with drafting and/or revising employment contracts, employee handbooks, and separation agreements.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Tressler, Anita was a litigation associate for a firm specializing in insurance defense. While in law school, Anita served as a law clerk for Tressler and the City of Chicago’s Law Department in the Employment Litigation Division.
