Elizabeth has represented insurers in bad faith litigation, and in disputes regarding the availability of insurance coverage for professional liabilities, directors and officers liabilities, personal and advertising injury, construction defects, and environmental and toxic torts. Elizabeth has defended clients in broker malpractice, directors and officers liability, products liability, and breach of contract suits.
Beth also represents organizations in employment-related matters, including the defense of employment actions under California and federal law. She provides organizations with advice prior to litigation, and represents employers in suits in federal and state court. Beth’s experience includes defense of suits asserting claims for workplace discrimination, retaliation, and failure to comply with federal and state regulations. In addition to her insurance coverage and employment experience, Beth has also defended clients in broker malpractice, directors and officers liability, products liability, and breach of contract suits.
She litigates cases in both state and federal courts throughout California, and has briefed cases on appeal before the California Courts of Appeal. She is also interested in the use of alternative dispute resolution, and represents clients in mediations and arbitrations. In May 2010, she completed a 30-hour Basic Mediation Training program, focusing on collaborative negotiation.
