Elizabeth L. Musser is a litigator who focuses on representing insurance companies in complex coverage disputes. She has advised clients regarding their obligations under commercial general liability policies, directors and officers policies issued to both private and publicly traded companies, and errors and omissions policies, including policies issued to employee benefits administrators, accountants and insurance brokers. Elizabeth has represented insurers in bad faith litigation, and in disputes regarding the availability of insurance coverage for professional liabilities, directors and officers liabilities, personal and advertising injury, construction defects, and environmental and toxic torts.
In addition to her insurance coverage experience, Elizabeth has defended clients in broker malpractice, directors and officers liability, products liability, and breach of contract suits.
She litigates cases in both state and federal courts throughout California, and has briefed cases on appeal before the California Courts of Appeal. She is also interested in the use of alternative dispute resolution, and represents clients in mediations and arbitrations. In May 2010, she completed a 30-hour Basic Mediation Training program, focusing on collaborative negotiation.
Elizabeth joined Tressler LLP as an associate in January 2007 and was promoted to partner in January 2013. She was previously an associate at Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP in San Francisco, where she represented insurers, primarily in coverage litigation arising out of asbestos-related claims.
