Michaela Battista Sozio is partner in the Litigation practice. She is an experienced litigator with more than 20 years of experience in the courtroom and has defended corporate and individual clients in a variety of matters. She handles all types of complex litigation including copyright infringement, trademark infringement, toxic torts, products liability, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, negligence cases, premises liability, business torts, employment (sexual harassment, racial harassment, wrongful termination, etc.) and other litigated matters. Michaela also frequently provides defense monitoring and case evaluations for excess carriers and advises commercial entities regarding risk management.
Michaela currently serves as Managing Partner for the Los Angeles office. She is also the co-chair of the firm’s professional training program for trial lawyers and is actively involved in the firm’s diversity initiative.
From 2005 to 2009 Michaela was selected for inclusion in the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars® list. She has also been selected to the list of Southern California Super Lawyers from 2012 to the present. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
