Michaela Battista Sozio is an experienced litigator who primarily represents companies in commercial disputes. Michaela handles all types of complex litigation including directors and officers liability, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, product defect, employment, broker malpractice, and any other complex business litigation matters.
Michaela also routinely serves as monitoring counsel for complex claims involving intellectual property litigation, accounting, violations of TILA and RESPA, the subprime lending and mortgage crisis, claims regarding professional liabilities, bodily injury/property damage, products liability, toxic torts, and other complex litigation matters.
Additionally, Michaela was selected for inclusion in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars®. Michaela is a frequent author and lecturer, and is a co-editor of Tressler’s Specialty Lines Advisory, a monthly newsletter for specialty lines clients.
Michaela is also the co-chair of the firm’s professional training program for trial lawyers and is actively involved in the firm’s diversity initiative. She is actively involved in the Business Litigation Section of the American Bar Association and PLUS.
