Chicago Associate, Kathryn A. Formeller's article entitled "Defending CGL Insurer May Not See a Declaratory Judgement That D&O Insurer Must Also Defend or Contribute to Defense Costs,” was recently reprinted in AgentsofAmerica.org’s E&O Weekly Prevention publication.

Tressler partner James Borcia obtained a verdict for the Defendant in the first jury trial in the United States for alleged violations of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA). The case went to trial before Judge Fernando Gaitan, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in June 2014.

Formeller, recently authored an article titled “Professional Liability Insurer Wins the Estoppel Battle But Loses the Coverage ‘War’” discusses the Rosalind Franklin Univ. of Medicine and Science v. Lexington Ins. Co. case. The article was originally published in the May issue of Tressler’s Specialty Lines Advisory and was recently reprinted in AgentsofAmerica.org’s E&O Weekly Prevention publication.

July 1, 2014 – (Chicago, Bolingbrook and Park Ridge, IL). Government Law partner John O’Driscoll co-authored the “Local Government” chapter of the IDC 2013 Survey of Law. The survey, written by members of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s Amicus, Civil Practice, Commercial, Employment, Insurance, Local Government, Tort Law and Construction Committees, is a compendium of important decisions handed down over the past year. John also serves as Chair of IDC’s Local Government Law Committee.
