Practice Focus

Colette Kopon is a partner in Tressler’s General Defense Litigation Practice Group. She handles a range of complex civil litigation matters, including advising and defending clients in all aspects of employment disputes and litigation. Colette’s trial practice also includes internal investigations, crisis management, defamation, fraud, product liability, personal injury, class actions and insurance coverage matters. She represents clients in a variety of industries and not-for-profit ministries, including education, healthcare, retail and insurance.

Colette
is a frequent speaker on topics related to her legal practice and has been named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers and an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers.

Professional Background

Colette Kopon moved her robust practice to Tressler LLP in 2021. Prior to private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
