Julie A. Black is an associate in Tressler's General Defense Litigation Practice Group. Julie focuses her practice on complex civil litigation matters, including healthcare litigation, premises liability and other tort matters.
Julie moved her practice to Tressler in 2021 after many years at a Chicago-based litigation firm. Previously, Julie served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Cecilia A. Horan and the Honorable Michael F. Otto in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Julie also worked for several years in the healthcare field as an allied healthcare provider and consultant before attending law school.
While in law school, Julie was the solicitation editor for the Journal of Information Technology & Privacy Law. Additionally, she served on the Moot Court Honors Council and competed on the Philip C. Jessup International Law and the Legal Ethics and Professionalism moot court team.
