Practice Focus

Scott recently joined Tressler to help open the firm’s St. Louis Metro Area office. He focuses his practice on business, labor and employment, schools and municipal law -- consulting with employers on a wide range of labor and employment, litigation and business matters. Representing private and public entities across a broad spectrum of industries, he handles all manner of disputes from the smallest of compliance issues to “bet-the-company” trials. He litigates business disputes, employment practices lawsuits and labor arbitrations; helps employers manage labor relations; and develops policies, practices and procedures for his clients that both comply with the law as well as enhance their operations.

Professional Background

Scott has just about done it all, over the course of his twenty-five year legal career. He’s built a successful labor and employment practice group for a regional general practice law firm; tried the big cases for a boutique labor and employment firm; and carved out a unique role as the go-to designated hitter for one of the largest and most prestigious international law firms in the world (doing the tough jobs nobody else wanted to do). A former Army Military Intelligence officer, Scott was Special Forces-trained in airborne operations and active throughout Western Europe during the twilight years of the Cold War. Today he serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis Downtown Children’s Center, publishes on labor and employment matters, and speaks to legal, business and employer groups on the latest labor and employment issues.
