Orange County, CA, March 3, 2020 - We are excited to welcome Judy Y. Chiang as a partner in Tressler’s Orange County office. Her practice areas include management-side labor and employment litigation defense involving discrimination, harassment and wage and hour claims. Judy also counsels employers in connection with a broad array of employee relations issues, including wage and hour, disability leave and harassment investigations. She prepares and reviews personnel policies, employee handbooks and other employment-related materials to ensure a compliant and effective employment platform. Judy is also very knowledgeable in handling workplace violence restraining orders and has represented several employers and attended numerous hearings statewide and prevailed in obtaining the restraining orders.
“I am thrilled to join Tressler and am very honored to be presented this opportunity to join the Team," said Judy Chiang.
Prior to joining Tressler, Judy was a partner at a well-known law firm, where she was Chair of the firm’s Employment Practice Group of the Irvine office, with an emphasis in defending property management companies and owners in discrimination, harassment, fair housing, habitability and wage and hour claims. She has settled and tried numerous cases. Judy is an aggressive litigator who will vigorously litigate and defend the clients’ interests. Because of Judy's depth of experience in pretrial litigation strategies, she was invited to teach a CEB class on “Civil Litigation Before Trial.” She also has first chair trial experience in employment cases.
“We are proud to welcome Judy to Tressler. As we continue to expand our Employment Practice throughout the country, Judy will be an integral part of our growth in Southern California,” said Karl Schlecht, Co-Chair of Tressler’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. “We look forward to supporting more employers and companies with our continued focus on personal, responsive and reliable legal support. Judy is an excellent attorney and provides fantastic client service.”

About Tressler’s Labor and Employment Group
The overwhelming majority of employment law cases are resolved without trial. Our attorneys are conflict resolution specialists. To assist clients to solve their litigation problems quickly we start thinking of resolution strategies as early as possible. We explore strengths and weaknesses of each case at the outset and start discussing options for exploration of resolution. At Tressler, we help our clients make good business decisions and provide best practices recommendations for risk-adverse outcomes. We also have conversations with opposing counsel to educate them about the weaknesses of their case and to persuade them to resolve matters. When litigation is necessary, Tressler attorneys have the experience to aggressively protect our clients. In the rare occasion of a trial, we have a proven trial record of success.
