Role Description
We are seeking an Associate attorney to join our Local Government Practice Group in our Bolingbrook office. The ideal candidate will provide general counsel services to local governmental bodies, including municipalities, school districts, library districts, and park districts. This role offers some hybrid work flexibility.
Essential job duties include:
- Counseling clients on contract review, purchasing, and procurement processes.
- Providing guidance on employment matters.
- Responding to board governance questions.
- Handling ordinance prosecutions.
- Advising on zoning laws, land use planning, and permitting processes.
- Supporting clients with various day-to-day operational legal needs.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois bar license required.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
- Experience in municipal or public sector law is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
