Alexander T. Myers

We are thrilled to welcome Alexander T. Myers as an associate in Tressler’s Local Government and Litigation Practice Groups in our Chicago and Bolingbrook offices. Alex’s practice is primarily focused on civil rights litigation, tort litigation, employment litigation and counseling, and matters arising from section 1983 and police misconduct.

“I am honored and excited to take my talents to Tressler LLP. I have been fortunate in my career to receive extensive in-court experience,” said Alex Myers. “Those cases and moments have been crucial in shaping the type of advocate I aim to be. I am once again fortunate that I get to take these skills to the already incredible team at Tressler. This firm is second to none in the quality of its work and caliber of its people. I know that this environment is exactly where I need to be as I continue to develop, and I look forward to writing my chapter in this firm’s long history of excellence.”

Prior to joining Tressler, Alex was a Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Indiana Attorney General (OAG) in the Government Litigations section. In that capacity, Alex took the lead on an extensive caseload and was tasked with developing the strategies deployed therein. During his time at the OAG, Alex engaged in every aspect of the litigation process. He primarily worked on Section 1983 cases, handling matters ranging from retaliation and equal protection claims to excessive force and deliberate indifference claims.

Alex earned his B.A. from Indiana University Bloomington, where he studied English and Environmental and Sustainability Studies. He received his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where Alex was the 2023 Indiana University Internal Mock Trial Competition Champion and earned Oral Advocacy Honors in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. He graduated cum laude.
