Astrid Chim Villagran

Tressler associate Astrid Chim Villagran obtained a dismissal with prejudice for her clients in a dog bite case in Sonoma County Superior Court in which the plaintiff sustained serious injuries when the dog injured the plaintiff on the clients’ rental property. Tressler’s clients are the owners of a rental property in Sonoma County and their tenants are the owners of the dog. After extensive discovery in which Astrid was able to prove that her clients had no knowledge of the dog’s dangerous propensities and the threat of filing a motion for summary judgment against plaintiffs, their counsel agreed to dismiss her clients from the suit, eliminating the clients’ potential exposure and avoiding a costly trial.
