Erik R. Peck to Present at the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus EV Readiness Program Meeting
Tressler attorney Erik R. Peck has been selected to present at the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus virtual EV Readiness Program cohort meeting on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He will be speaking about the Electric Vehicle Charging Act and municipal compliance issues. The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus is a membership organization of the Chicago region’s 275 cities, towns, and villages. Founded in 1997 by then-Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and leading Mayors from nine suburban municipal groups, the Mayors Caucus pushes past geographical boundaries and local interests to work on public policy issues. The Caucus provides a forum for metropolitan Chicago’s chief elected officials to collaborate on common problems and work toward a common goal of improving the quality of life for the millions of people who call the region home.
When:
Wednesday, April 1, 2026
1:30pm-3:00pm CT
Where:
Via Zoom
About the Meeting:
The meeting will focus on the Electric Vehicle Charging Act. Although the law passed and took effect on January 1, 2024, the goal is to ensure communities remain aware of its requirements and are proactively complying, rather than addressing issues after violations occur. The topic may be especially timely given that the affordable housing provisions only recently took effect on January 1, 2026, and a proposed amendment to the EV Charging Act is currently under consideration.
