We are pleased to welcome Maria E. Kardasis as an associate attorney in Tressler’s Litigation Practice Group in our Chicago, Illinois office. Maria concentrates her practice in the areas of tort, personal injury, and medical malpractice. She is also interested in government law, intellectual property law, entertainment law, and environment, energy, and sustainable development law.

Prior to joining Tressler, Maria worked as an associate attorney at another litigation defense firm, where she gained extensive experience taking depositions, researching, writing, and winning motions after oral arguments, and negotiating settlements in medical malpractice, premises liability, nursing home, and construction cases, among others. Maria is dedicated to passionately advocating for her clients and obtaining optimal solutions through strategic thinking and analytical argumentation.

Maria earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in English and Philosophy, with Honors in Philosophy, from Loyola University Chicago and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. In addition, Maria is active in her community as a volunteer with the Hel.LAS Pro Bono Legal Aid Clinic and Feed My Starving Children. She is also a member of the Hellenic Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
