We are proud to announce that Tressler Partner and Executive Committee Member Mark T. Banovetz has prevailed on an appeal before the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals in a lawsuit filed against an insurance company seeking to collect a multi-million dollar judgment that had been obtained against the insurance company’s insured – a nursing home – in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.  

The Tressler team won summary judgment in the trial court, and the case was subsequently taken up on appeal. In April, Mark argued before the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals, leading to the affirmation of the trial court’s decision in favor of the firm’s client.  This ruling is a significant victory for our client and demonstrates Tressler’s tenacity, teamwork, deep knowledge of insurance coverage, and courtroom skill.

About Mark T. Banovetz

Mark Banovetz, a member of Tressler LLP’s Executive Committee, has been in practice for more than 34 years with a primary focus on aviation.  In addition to his law practice, Mark is an FAA-licensed commercial pilot and FAAST-certified airshow performer, flying a Navy T-34 Mentor in close-formation airshows with the internationally acclaimed Lima Lima Flight Team.
