Tressler’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Mission Statement
Tressler recognizes that diversity is central to our success. A diverse workforce is not only the right thing to do, but is also absolutely essential to our continued ability to provide the highest quality of legal services to our clients. We believe that having employees of varied ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, socioeconomic level, and abilities makes our firm stronger, both at the individual level and as a community. As a result, a fundamental priority of Tressler is to recruit, retain, and promote attorneys, professionals, and staff members of diverse backgrounds.
Methods for Maintaining and Furthering DEI Initiatives
Our firm believes the best way to maintain and foster diversity is to recruit, retain, and promote diverse talent. To help ensure that we do so, Tressler has implemented various internal programs and has partnered with outside organizations to promote diversity-related goals. Tressler’s robust Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (“DEI Committee”) includes attorneys and staff throughout the country. The group creates monthly programming to increase awareness, address new goals, and highlight important causes.
Tressler’s Women’s Group meets quarterly to discuss issues and concerns associated with being a female attorney in the current legal marketplace. Topics addressed in the past include business development techniques for women and work-life balance. In addition, the Women’s Group has co-sponsored a variety of women’s business networking events.
Associate Liaison Committee
In order to foster seamless communication between partners and associate attorneys, Tressler created the Associate Liaison Committee. The Committee, comprised of three partners elected by their peers, meets regularly with all associates. The Committee provides an anonymous feedback system to improve processes and share ideas as well as provides professional development programming for attorneys.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Commitment
Environmental Stewardship
Tressler is proud to utilize sustainable, environmentally friendly business practices throughout the country. We recognize that we only have one planet, and it is our responsibility to help protect it for future generations by proactively combating climate change.
Social Responsibility
Tressler takes pride in being a socially responsible employer and law firm. The firm was recently selected as a Certified Great Place to Work© in the U.S.A. for 2023, 2024, and 2025, an honor solely based on anonymous employee feedback. Tressler was included in the 2024 and 2025 U.S. News & World Report list of the “Best Companies to Work For” among U.S. law firms. U.S. News & World Report editors conducted an objective, data-driven analysis of law firms on six factors that are important to employee wellbeing and job satisfaction: quality of pay and benefits, work/life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, career opportunities, and professional development. These recent recognitions reflect Tressler’s dedication to our employees, communities, and society at large.
Ethical Governance
As a law firm known for our national professional and management liability law practice, Tressler understands the importance of governing and performing both ethically and lawfully. Our Management Team ensures that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies are followed in all areas of our business while remaining true to our values and those of our clients.
