Trevor J. Spade is an associate attorney in Tressler’s Insurance Services Practice Group. Trevor focuses his practice on insurance coverage analysis and related litigation, advising domestic and international insurers on complex, high-exposure matters. He has experience with a variety of policy types, including errors and omissions, directors and officers, general liability, municipal liability, and property damage claims. He regularly evaluates coverage applicability, exclusions, and potential exposure, and drafts coverage opinions, reservations, and denial letters.
In addition to his coverage work, Trevor has handled all phases of coverage litigation in both state and federal courts. His practice includes construction defect matters involving individual homeowners and homeowners’ associations, commercial property damage claims, and specialty matters such as lost jewelry coverage.
Trevor is a dual-licensed attorney admitted to practice in California and Illinois. He has practiced primarily in insurance coverage roles at nationally recognized firms. His background includes advising insurers on complex coverage disputes, drafting dispositive coverage correspondence, and litigating coverage issues through resolution.
Earlier in his career, Trevor gained experience in commercial litigation and served as a judicial law clerk at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals. During law school, he was a recipient of the Dean’s Tuition Scholarship and Dean’s Award.
Trevor is an avid golfer and competed on the men’s golf team with a full scholarship during college. He is currently the Head Golf Coach at the First Tee Chicago Waveland Facility.
