Andrew S. Paine to Compete at the 2026 WAFF Amputee Soccer World Cup in Mexico
We are proud to announce that Tressler attorney Andrew S. Paine has once again been selected to represent Team USA as a member of the U.S. Men’s National Amputee Soccer Team in the World Cup. This will mark Andrew’s fourth year representing Team USA. The tournament will take place from November 13th to the 22nd in San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. The U.S. team is drawn into Group E alongside Uzbekistan, Morocco, and Uruguay.
In March 2022, Andrew was in a snowmobile accident that resulted in severe injuries, including the amputation of his right leg above the knee. Undeterred, he continued playing the game he loves. Now, four years later, Andrew serves as a Board Member of the American Amputee Soccer Association and plays as a field player for Team USA. “This one is particularly meaningful to me. After my accident, I never imagined I’d be playing soccer again, let alone have the opportunity to represent my country on the international stage,” said Andrew S. Paine. “But here we are! I’ve spent the last four years working toward this goal, and the chance to finish my time with the National Team by competing in a World Cup alongside teams from 24 countries feels like a fitting way to close this chapter.”
Tressler LLP is honored to support Andrew and the American Amputee Soccer Association (AASA). Our firm has proudly donated $2,500 to the AASA’s World Cup fundraising campaign. This amazing group of athletes is raising funds to cover travel, equipment, housing, and medical needs for the tournament.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the support the firm has given me and the team along the way. That support has helped make these opportunities possible not only for me, but also for teammates who have limited resources and rely heavily on outside support to participate at this level.”

About the American Amputee Soccer Association
The American Amputee Soccer Association has dual missions. One mission is to promote and develop the sport for the benefit of participants with limb differences. The Association accomplishes this through outreach programs at the local levels to help interested players become introduced to the sport, maximize their proficiency, build self-confidence, learn the power of teamwork, and build a strong social network. The AASA’s second mission is to select, develop, and train elite amputee soccer athletes to represent the United States in international competition. Click here to learn more.
