Attorney Andrew S. Paine to Compete at the 2026 Amputee Soccer World Cup Qualifiers

We are thrilled to announce that Tressler attorney Andrew S. Paine has been selected to represent Team USA as a member of the U.S. Men’s National Amputee Soccer Team. This will mark Andrew’s third year representing Team USA, this time at the Amputee Soccer World Cup Qualifiers. The North and Central American championship qualifier, also known as the Gold Cup or Copa Oro, will take place from July 8th to the 12th in San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. Team USA will compete against seven countries—Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, and Mexico—for the last three coveted spots in the 2026 Amputee Soccer World Cup.
In March 2022, Andrew was in a snowmobile accident that resulted in severe injuries, including the amputation of his right leg above the knee. Undeterred, he continued playing the game he loves. Now, three years later, Andrew serves as a Board Member of the American Amputee Soccer Association and plays as a field player for Team USA. “I am honored to represent the United States as a member of the U.S. National Amputee Soccer Team,” said Andrew Paine. “Playing this beautiful game with my teammates energizes me, and I am committed to increasing visibility for those living with limb loss and limb difference. Thank you all for your incredible generosity and support of our team.”

About the American Amputee Soccer Association
The American Amputee Soccer Association has dual missions. One mission is to promote and develop the sport for the benefit of participants with limb differences. The Association accomplishes this through outreach programs at the local levels to help interested players become introduced to the sport, maximize their proficiency, build self confidence, learn the power of teamwork and build a strong social network. The AASA’s second mission is to select, develop and train elite amputee soccer athletes to represent the United States in international competition. Click here to learn more.
