Practice Areas





Judy Chiang is a partner in Tressler's Labor and Employment Group. Her practice areas include management-side labor and employment litigation defense involving discrimination, harassment and wage and hour claims. Judy also counsels employers in connection with a broad array of employee relations issues, including wage and hour, disability leave and harassment investigations. She prepares and reviews personnel policies, employee handbooks and other employment-related materials to ensure a compliant and effective employment platform. Judy is also very knowledgeable in handling workplace violence restraining orders and has represented several employers and attended numerous hearings statewide and prevailed in obtaining the restraining orders.

Judy received her J.D. from Whittier Law School and currently works out of Tressler's Orange County office.

Where are you from? 
I was born in Taiwan and came to the U.S. at the age of six, living in LA County.

What was your first job?
 I was a Summer Clerk for the State Bar of California.

Do you have any hidden talents and/or unique hobbies? 
I play the piano, guitar and I sing. I  can also speak four languages (English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Hakkanese). I love to shop and eat. I am a good cook and host Thanksgiving every year.

What is on your bucket list? 
I want to travel to Europe, Tahiti and its neighboring islands. My family and I go to Hawaii every year and love to go to luaus.

Why did you decide to become an attorney? 
I love to argue and am good at it.  Growing up with seven siblings and being the youngest out of eight children, I had to argue and fight for resources.

What does a typical workday look like for you? 
I make breakfast for my family, get our kid to school and work, work, work.

Why did you choose your areas of practice? 
I love real estate and employment law.

What do you like most about Tressler? 
The people and diversity. The minority attorneys at our Orange County, CA office makeup the majority.

What are you most proud of, professionally and/or personally? 
My diversity and being able to speak four languages. My father is Taiwanese, my mother is Hakkanese (originally from the Canton region, China) and Mandarin is the official language of Taiwan.

Do you have a fun, prior career or hobby?
I was in commercials and soap operas in Taiwan when I was five-six years old. That’s why I do not have stage fright.
