Mark Banovetz: Insurance Law
Mark is a partner at Tressler and is one of the firm’s three Executive Committee members. His practice includes general litigation, insurance coverage analysis, and coverage litigation. Mark’s practice includes representation of pilots, airports, fixed base operators, maintenance facilities, and aviation suppliers and manufacturers. He also has substantial experience representing energy companies in the defense of claims involving aircraft accidents arising from aircraft impacts with ground based structures. Mark lectures and provides counsel to industries in regard to FAA regulations on the marking and lighting of obstructions under the FAA’s regulation of the national airspace system.
Daniel Cunningham: Insurance Law
Dan's practice involves insurance coverage and bad faith litigation stemming from underlying consumer protection claims, privacy claims, intellectual property claims, personal and advertising injury claims, defective product claims and environmental claims. Dan has represented insurers in all aspects of litigation throughout the country and has developed skill in successfully asserting coverage defenses arising out of underlying class action lawsuits. Dan frequently represents insurer interests with regard to coverage disputes arising out of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act. He is also involved in counseling insurers with regard to claims arising under various federal and state statutes governing the protection of personal data.
Daniel Formeller: Insurance Law, Litigation – Insurance
Dan is Chairman of the firm. As a trial lawyer based in the firm’s Chicago office, Dan focuses his practice on business litigation and the resolution of business disputes through mediation and arbitration. Dan handles a wide variety of complex business litigation and counseling, including intellectual property, state and federal securities actions, anti-trust, ERISA, class actions and directors and officers liability matters. He has been lead trial counsel in bench and jury trials in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
William McVisk: Insurance Law, Litigation – Insurance
Bill focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage litigation and hospital law and medical liability. He has handled all areas of coverage and bad faith litigation, especially third-party bad faith and coverage litigation involving commercial general liability, professional liability coverages as well as personal lines coverages such as auto and homeowners coverages.
Todd Schenk: Insurance Law, Litigation – Insurance
Todd is a member of Tressler's three-person Executive Committee. He is highly experienced in providing insurance coverage counseling and litigation representation to insurance companies. Todd is particularly skilled in handling third party claims involving advertising injury and product liability, and first party claims under residential and commercial property policies. Many of his cases require the defense of common law and statutory bad faith claims, which Todd litigates in venues around the country. He has also handled appeals in both state and federal courts around the country.

Charles Diaz: Insurance Law
Charles (Chuck) specializes in complex civil litigation, including insurance coverage and environmental matters. His practice involves counseling clients at all stages of dispute, and he is frequently retained before a lawsuit is filed in an effort to effectively manage risk. Chuck has extensive experience representing clients in trial, arbitrations, mediations and all other types of alternative dispute resolution. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide array of litigated and non-litigated matters including complex insurance coverage disputes relating to environmental, toxic tort, product liability, construction defect, employment, reinsurance and bad faith claims under various types of policies. He has litigated in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He also provides coverage analysis, monitors claims and has assisted in drafting policy language, including scripted endorsements. Chuck works closely with his clients to achieve defined goals in the most cost-effective manner.
Timothy Jabbour: Insurance Law
Tim is a member of Tressler's three-person Executive Committee and Managing Partner of Tressler's New Jersey office. His practice focuses on the representation of foreign and domestic insurers in both state and federal courts. Tim has more than 18 years of experience litigating defense matters and complex insurance coverage disputes in New Jersey and across the country. His extensive litigation experience includes handling complex coverage and defense matters across various lines including property/casualty, complex pollution/toxic tort, professional liability, products liability, employment practices liability, cyber/privacy liability, aviation and marine.

Mary McPherson: Insurance Law
Mary handles complex coverage matters exclusively on behalf of the insurance industry. She is highly experienced in counseling and representing insurers in complex bad faith, asbestos, construction defect, additional insured, personal injury, environmental and primary/excess coverage issues on a nationwide basis. Mary is often brought in by insurers to assess and troubleshoot complex coverage issues in high exposure tort cases and assist them in reaching global settlements.

Patrick Stufflebeam: Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Defendants
Patrick is a partner in the St. Louis Metro Area office of Tressler LLP. He concentrates his practice on the defense of civil litigation including toxic tort (asbestos, talc, and benzene), premises liability, product liability, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage issues. He also counsels clients and attorneys regarding cybersecurity and the use of technology in the law. Patrick has represented individuals, family-owned businesses and farms, and some of our country’s largest corporations.
