Practice Focus

Taylor Brewer is an associate in Tressler’s Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups. Taylor’s practice focuses on providing comprehensive services to the insurance industry including coverage analysis, pre-suit claims assessment and handling, insurance defense litigation, and appeals. His experience also extends to healthcare statutory and regulatory compliance, as well as advising and handling claims for state and local governmental entities.

Taylor moved his practice to Tressler in 2021, building on years of experience handling legal matters ranging from regulatory compliance to trial and appellate litigation. He has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants and has worked on several multi-million dollar construction injury and product liability cases.

While in law school, Taylor was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, Moot Court Honor Society, and the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property. He competed in the Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition, where he was a semi-finalist and second-place oralist, and the Appellate Lawyers Association Moot Court Competition. Taylor was recently selected by his peers in the 2024, 2025, and 2027 editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for Insurance Law. Taylor was recently named a 2025 and 2026 Illinois Rising Star by the Illinois Super Lawyers.
